Underrated

Perhaps too underestimated, the laurel plant can almost be considered a "shy" plant. It is difficult to smell it's aroma while walking in nature, as the only way to do it,is to stop and rub the leaves between your fingers.

History

However, its ordinariness must not lead to error, but consider its cultural importance and its beneficial properties-just think about the laurel crown at the end of a university course of study (in Italian for "Graduate" we use "Laureato" from the Latin word Laurus). Even in Greco-Roman mythology it has an important aspect, as a plant sacred to the God Apollo and a symbol of victory.

As Food

Widely used in Mediterranean cuisine, it becomes an indispensable ingredient for its organoleptic characteristics, which we find here concentrated in scented essential oil steam distilled.

They are produced and marketed by Funtanamenta as Natural Flavors for Food - Reg. CE 1334 / 2008-, respecting all safety and hygiene regulations and equipped with the HACCP self-control manual.
